Kelly Clarkson Sings Shallow: Watch Here
Kelly Clarkson treated Wisconsin fans at her Friday night show in Green Bay to her cover of Lady Gaga’s “Shallow,” the hit tune from A Star Is Born, which is up for eight Oscars at the upcoming Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Original Song.
Clarkson called Gaga “amazing” and told a cute story about how Gaga wrote her a sincere handwritten thank-you note after opening for Clarkson years ago. Kelly praised Gaga:
“And this chick is amazing. We’re really different but at the same time we’re really similar in the fact that she just loves music and that’s why she’s doing what she’s doing. Honestly, I remember her first single, we actually did a show together combined for some event and she is one of the only artists that has ever – she wrote me a hand-written note saying, ‘Thank you so much, it was an honor to open for you’. She was the nicest human being ever. Her name’s Lady Gaga – any fans? It’s cool to just know someone that talented is also really nice.”
“I hope I don’t suck, and if I do, I hope she doesn’t see it,” Clarkson added before slaying the song. The video has been seen over 2 million times.
