Paddy Harrington to be inducted in Kamloops Sports Hall of Fame

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Sports Hall of Fame will be adding to its ranks this spring.

Paddy Harrington will be going into the Hall in the builders category.

Harrington’s passion for rugby and promoting the game, and for the last 43 years the Kamloops Rugby Club, is unparalleled.

Last May the rugby club celebrated its 50th anniversary, and the club will be going into the Hall with Harrington in the team category.

Paddy Harrington’s four plus decades with the club have included a variety of roles from playing and coaching to administration, and making sure the public is well versed on its success.

The KRC has had over 600 senior players and another 600 junior members in its 54 year history, and has hosted more than 40 international touring teams.

Induction of Paddy Harrington and the Kamloops Rugby Club into the Kamloops Sports Hall of Fame will take place May 11 at the Coast Canadian Conference Centre.
