Ariana Suprise Visit

Ariana Grande made a surprise visit to The Late Late Show with James Corden Tuesday night, much to the delight of some unsuspecting guests.

Ariana came out unannounced and sang with the TNT Boys, a young boy band trio from the Philippines who previously performed at James Corden’s other hosting gig, The World’s Best. The boys were so floored by the moment they could barely get through their rendition of “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” from Dreamgirls as Ariana sang along.

The trio, made up of Keifer Sanchez, 15, Mackie Empuerto, 14, and Francis Concepcion, 13, were beside themselves. Ariana gently nudged the boys to complete the song between hugs, while also offering some vocal support throughout the soaring Broadway track.

“I’m obsessed with you guys, you’re so incredible,” Grande told the boys after they’d finished, which left them dumbfounded all over again.

“Is this a dream?” Concepcion asked while playfully slapping himself in the face.

Afterward, Ariana chatted with Corden about her history-making day, becoming the first artist to simultaneously hold the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 since The Beatles did it in 1964.

[“I think it’s so funny. I thought it was hilarious. When I woke up I thought it was like an edit, like that my fans made. I thought it was a joke! It’s really wild. My mom and I were driving around listening to The Beatles all day and I was like, ‘This is crazy…this is so weird!’”]

She jokingly added, “I’ll go away after this. I’ll take a break, I promise!” Asked what she planned to do to celebrate such a milestone achievement, Ariana confessed she doesn’t have much of a personal life these days. “Well, honestly, I was so excited you asked me to do this today cause I usually don’t have anything to do, other than just make songs and, like, rehearse and that’s it,” she declared, adding, “personal life still non-existent.”

Ariana of course ended her engagement to Pete Davidson late last year, and addressed him and other past loves in her current No. 3 hit – formerly No. 1 – “thank u, next.”
