Man wanted in Kamloops for assault nabbed near Penticton
KAMLOOPS — Penticton RCMP have nabbed a man wanted in Kamloops on a series of charges related to an incident February 14th where two men were robbed and a woman kidnapped. Robert James Rennie was arrested by police yesterday in a rural area west of Kaleden, just south of Penticton. An arrest warrant had been issued for Rennie on charges of assault causing bodily harm. Rennie was taken into custody without incident.
Police are still looking for Gordon Braaten and Hugh McIntosh, who are charged with murder and attempted murder in relation to the shooting at a residence on Tranquille Road February 15th. There are warrants out for the arrest of both men. Sergeant Nestore Baird says in a news release that if the men are spotted, they are considered armed and dangerous and should not be confronted.
