Jessie J is getting candid about mental health after sharing a tearful video on Instagram.

Over the weekend, the 30-year-old entertainer, whose bodyguard suddenly passed away last month, shared a live stream singing at her piano. “I know you’re watching/Somewhere in the sky/I look over your children/’Cause I know you would’ve looked over mine,” Jessie sang as she teared up.

“This video is from yesterday I woke up. Feeling kinda off. I sat at the piano (which I’ve been avoiding) knowing it will bring some stuff up. I’m making it up and feeling my real feelings. I went live as I wanted to share with you guys the moment. I didn’t know I would cry,” Jessie captioned the video.

She continues, “I’m making it up and feeling my real feelings… I didn’t know I would cry… But it’s important to be open that we are not always done up and feeling 100. All of us have our days. Yesterday was one of my weird emotional days.”

Jessie goes on to tell her fans not to bottle up their emotions, pointing out that “one of the biggest killers in men under 30 is suicide.” “Please do not suffer in silence,” she says. “Life is way too short and ALWAYS GETS BETTER. I’m thinking of you and sending love to your heart.”

Back in December, Jessie posted about the death of her bodyguard, Dave, referring to him as “family.” Shortly after that, she announced she was taking a social media break after dealing with some “heavy personal stuff.”
