Downtown Kamloops seniors housing project moves ahead
KAMLOOPS — A large seniors housing complex that will transform a busy downtown intersection has taken the next step forward.
At Tuesday’s regular meeting, Kamloops council approved a development permit for a 112-unit mixed-use commercial-residential building at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Victoria Street.
The property has been the site of a vacant, former theatre building for more than a decade.
The new six-storey building would include 112 residential units, as well as a series of commercial units on the ground floor.
