Police incident unfolding on Tk’emlups reserve

Several police cruisers and the Southeast District’s Emergency Response Team are attending an area on the Tk’emlups reserve.

Police say in a news release that the police incident is taking place on Cree Drive, and that road is closed with officers advising the public to avoid the area.

There’s no word at this point on any details of what’s unfolding, but a CFJC Today crew is on scene.

The crew says a spike belt is laid down at Cree Drive near Okanagan way, and a helicopter is circling overhead.
