BACKSTREET BOYS EXHIBIT COMING TO THE GRAMMY MUSEUM: A new exhibit at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, “Backstreet Boys: The Experience,” will be opening this spring. It’ll include personal memorabilia from the group, wardrobe pieces from past album covers and music videos, artwork, photography and more. There will also be immersive photo and video experiences for fans. “From the beginning of our career, we have always made it a priority to interact with our fans,” AJ McLean says. “This exhibition is a perfect way to share our favorite memories with the people who made our dreams a reality.” The exhibit opens to the public April 10th and runs through September 2nd. On April 8th, the Backstreet Boys will be taking part in a discussion at the museum’s Clive Davis Theater as part of its Public Program series. People will be live streaming the event on Facebook.
RITA ORA & ANDREW GARFIELD SPLIT: Andrew Garfield and Rita Ora have reportedly gone their separate ways after a short-lived romance. The 35-year-old actor and 28-year-old singer were first linked back in November of 2018. Now, People, among other publications, are reporting that the pair have broken up. Neither Andrew nor Rita have ever confirmed they were dating, and have not spoken about the rumored breakup either.
ARTIST NAMED MEGHAN TRAINOR SUSPENDED FROM SOCIAL MEDIA: A Seattle artist who shares a name with singer Meghan Trainor said she was locked out of her YouTube, Gmail and Twitter accounts for impersonation. Trainer said she was amused when the singer of the same name came to prominence about five years ago, but her amusement wore thin when Google told her that her account, which includes Gmail, YouTube, Google Drive and her calendar, was being disabled for impersonating the celebrity. The artist, who is also a performer in her own right, aired her frustrations over the suspension on Twitter, which subsequently suspended her for the same reason. Trainer said she was able to get her accounts back after initial media attention, and she is now fighting for social networks to offer digital verification for people who share names with celebrities.
SARA BAREILLES ANNOUNCES MINI-TOUR LEADING UP TO ALBUM RELEASE : Sara Bareilles has announced a limited run of live shows dubbed the A Little Chaos Tour, ahead of the release of her upcoming album, Amidst the Chaos. She’ll make stops at intimate venues in four select cities. The dates kicks off March 17th in San Francisco. She’ll hit Los Angeles and Chicago, before wrapping March 22nd in New York City.
