Vancouver Canucks sign Princeton defenceman Josh Teves to one-year deal
VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Canucks have signed defenceman Josh Teves to a one-year entry-level contract.
The 24-year-old Calgary native had 85 points in 126 career games over four seasons with the Princeton University Tigers.
Princeton was eliminated from the NCAA hockey playoffs by Brown University on Saturday.
Teves put up seven goals and 26 assists in 31 games for the Tigers this season, leading the squad’s defencemen in scoring and all NCAA blueliners in points per game (1.06).
