Man robbed on TRU campus

KAMLOOPS — Police are investigating after a man was robbed on the Thompson Rivers University campus.

Officers responded to a report of a personal robbery at 2:40 p.m. Monday (March 11).

Kamloops RCMP say in a news release that the victim stated he was walking near Wolfpack Road and College Drive when a suspect approached him. The man was carrying a knife and demanded the victim’s wallet, which he handed over.

The suspect then fled toward Summit Drive.

The victim was uninjured, and roughly half an hour later the stolen wallet was found on campus and turned in to security. Some cash was missing from the wallet, but all other items were accounted for.

Police say the suspect is described as 6′ tall, in his mid 20s, wearing a grey hoodie, jeans and carrying a leather striped backpack.
