The Royal Rift and Other News
The Queen ain’t having it! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were hoping to set up a global “philanthropy brand” sans royal oversight, but the Queen and Prince Charles are nixing it, Page Six reports. Instead, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will set up an official household of aides and staffers within the Buckingham Palace, so the Queen and Charles can track their progress.
“They wanted their household to be entirely independent of Buckingham Palace, but were told ‘no’,” a royal source told the Sunday Times of London. “They can’t just go off and do their own thing.”
The office will reportedly be separate from Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s office, news that arrives as more details of the Fab 4’s alleged demise emerge.
A royal filmmaker named Nick Bullen tells Fox that the rift between Harry and William started the Fab 4 breakup. “It comes out in the ‘Royal View’ – and what comes out is that it’s a much sexier story to have two duchesses at war,” Bullen told Fox of the TrueRoyalty.tv talk show, which aims to separate fact from fiction regarding the royals.
