KAMLOOPS — Police in Kamloops are asking for the public’s help in identifying two suspects who robbed the Esso on Columbia Street West yesterday.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says two men entered the Esso at roughly 5:30 a.m. Monday (March 18), and demanded money from the cash register.

Shelkie says one of the suspects had what appeared to be a hand gun and the other suspect had what appeared to be a can of pepper spray.

The suspects fled with cash and headed northbound. The clerk was uninjured.

The first suspect is described as wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and having a white bandana covering his face. The second suspect is described as wearing a black and tan jacket, black pants, and having a black bandana covering his face.

Shelkie says at this time there is no evidence linking this robbery to any of the other robberies that have occurred in the city over the past month.

If you have any information about this or any other robberies, call Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
