KAMLOOPS — Following Tuesday night’s electric atmosphere and soldout crowd that saw the Blazers defeat Kelowna to win the tiebreaker and advance to the playoffs, fans are making sure they get a seat for the first-round series against Victoria.

There was a big line-up again for tickets today at the Sandman Centre Box Office from the time it opened at noon. With tickets going so quickly for the tiebreaker game, fans don’t want to be left out of the playoff action.

“We’re season-ticket holders. We still have a ticket for Tuesday night, but we had to get a ticket for Wednesday, so that’s what we just got finished doing,” said one couple.

“Two game tickets, Tuesday and Wednesday,” noted Blazer fan Dean Gladue. “I’m excited for each game. I got two each. Really want to come out and support the boys this year. They’ve got a lot of hear. Us as fans, we’ve got to be that other player on the ice.”

The Blazers are back at home for Games 3 and 4 against the Royals next Tuesday and Wednesday. The fans are hoping for an encore after a memorable night with 6,000 people packing the building.

“Oh, it was electric. It was amazing. It was nice to see the old barn rockin’ again,” said Gladue. “It felt like the days of old back in Kamloops. It was a good feeling being in that environment last night.”

Another fan noted, “the fans of Kamloops want a repeat of last night, but it’s such a turnaround in the last few weeks with this team, and it’s what we’ve been waiting for.”
