“Visibility is so important because we’re just normal people, just like everyone else,” Evans told CFJC Today. “[We have] the same basic human needs, and the want for love and connection… I think we’ve been misunderstood because of transphobia and lack of proper representation of who proper real trans people are.”

On Saturday, noted advocate Morgane Oger will speak at the Hills of Peace Lutheran Church. The event, titled “Faith & Transgender Living: A Conversation” about the insights, experiences and barriers that exist for trans people, as well as an opportunity for questions and answers. The event begins at 4:00 pm.
