Tori Spelling and Muffin-gate

The internet is coming for Tori Spelling and her muffins. The mother of five posted a sponsored photo featuring her kids, Liam, 12, Stella, 10, Hattie, 7, Finn, 6, and Beau, 2 munching on Little Bites muffins. “This mom of 5 finds snack time a balancing act between pleasing my kiddos and feeling good as a parent about what I’m feeding them,” Spelling wrote in the caption, praising the snack for containing “no high fructose or corn syrup.”

The comment section quickly became a hellscape of mom-shaming.

One critic opined: “You should definitely not be happy about feeding these to your kids. know this ad is paying you, but kids should learn healthy eating before it’s too late. These are designed to be addicted because of the processed sugar.”

Another wrote, “Might explain why they’re all overweight.”

“I have to agree with you because I used to pack crap like that for my kids lunches,” another commenter wrote. “I have a son who’s had a weight problem and as a parent I couldn’t just be an enabler anymore. I changed his diet and he looks and feels a lot healthier. Not making fun of her kids, just concerned … but I guess it’s her responsibility.”

Still, many defended Spelling, writing that people should “stop shaming children and moms.”
