Large power outage affecting TRU campus area

KAMLOOPS — A major power outage is affecting the area around the Thompson Rivers University campus.

According to the BC Hydro website, the outage took place at about 11:00 a.m. and is impacting about 430 customers.

The outage is expected to be restored at roughly 5:00 p.m.

However, many of those customers are businesses in the McGill Road corridor.
