CELINE DION NAMED L’OREAL PARIS GLOBAL SPOKESPERSON: Celine Dion has been announced as the newest global spokesperson L’oreal Paris. “Beyond her powerful voice and unstoppable stage presence, Cline Dion is a woman of substance known for her renowned accomplishments and extraordinary personality. Resilient, self-confident, unapologetic, generous and humble, she is the ultimate symbol of female empowerment and a true woman of worth,” the brand declares of the partnership. “I’m at a stage in my life where I’m excited to use my voice to empower others to feel beautiful, confident, and to learn to embrace themselves,” Celine said of her new role.

LADY GAGA NOMINATED FOR WEBBY AWARDS: Lady Gaga is nominated for two trophies at the 23rd Annual Webby Awards, given out by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences. She and Bradley Cooper are nominated in the Music Video category for the visual for her Oscar-winning song “Shallow,” and she’s also nominated in the Fashion & Beauty category, for her irreverent narration of a CNN Worldwide video about her friend Donatella Versace. FRANKIE RELEASES BOXING-THEMED ‘WHEN I’M READY’ MUSIC VIDEO: Frankie is back with a music video for her newest single, “When I’m Ready.” The singer-songwriter dropped her latest visual on Tuesday. “I had taken up boxing all last year and I didn’t realize that it became therapy for me. You fall, you get back up. You get hurt, you get back up. Literally and metaphorically…It felt like a perfect fit, because this song is all about transformation and boxing was for me as well,” she explained to Billboard of the video’s concept. “When I’m Ready” is featured on Frankie’s latest EP, Sta7ges.

MEGHAN TRAINOR, RYAN TEDDER, CHARLIE PUTH AND MORE HELP ASPIRING SONGWRITERS IN ‘SONGLAND’ TRAILER: A trailer has been released for NBC’s new musical competition show, Songland, produced by Adam Levine. The series, which debuts May 28th, features Ryan Tedder, Meghan Trainor, Charlie Puth, John Legend, the Jonas Brothers and more as they give aspiring songwriters the chance to showcase their original songs in the hopes of finding the next big hit. Songland premieres May 28th on NBC.
