MONTY PYTHON CATALOG HEADED TO NETFLIX: Monty Python may no longer be an official comedy troupe, but its genius is about to live on in Netflix. Classics, including Life of Brian and The Holy Grail, The Meaning of Life, the Flying Circus TV series and live shows including the most recent Monty Python Live (Mostly) from 2014 are set to land on Netflix in the U.K. on April 15th and in the U.S. later this year.

DEADPOOL 2 TRAILER LANDS: Ryan Reynolds in full Deadpool mode has returned for the sequel’s first trailer. The 20th Century Fox and Marvel‘s X-men-esque pic became the highest-earning R-rated film of all time with $783.1 million in global earnings. The new film introduces Josh Brolin‘s Cable to new characters, including Zazie Beetz as Domino and Terry Crews. Plus, Brianna Hildebrand‘s Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Stefan Kapicic‘s Colossus are back for more. Deadpool 2 lands May 18th.

SPIKE LEE LAUNCHES ONLINE CLASS: Spike Lee is sharing his vision and experience garnered from three decades of filmmaking to would-be moviemakers. Lee is partnering with MasterClass on an online class for $90. The platform hosts more than two-dozen celebrity-led tutorials. Lee also teaches filmmaking at New York University‘s Graduate Film Program. “There are no absolute truths in filmmaking and no one way to be a filmmaker,” Lee said in a statement. “I’ve learned in 30 years things that I can give back. I’m teaching this MasterClass because very few people get to sit in my classes at NYU, so this is an opportunity for me to share what I’ve learned with as many students as possible, no matter where they are in their film career.”

JERRY O’CONNELL JOINS THE BIG BANG THEORY: Jerry O’Connell has been recruited to play Sheldon’s (Jim Parsons) adult older brother Georgie, producers reveal. Georgie is one of the main figures in CBSYoung Sheldon, the prequel comedy. He will take over the role played on Young Sheldon by Montana Jordan. The present-day Georgie will show up during a May episode of Sheldon and Amy’s (Mayim Bialik) wedding. He will also be joined by Sheldon’s mother, Mary (Laurie Metcalf).
