Trial of man charged in hit and run death to start today

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops man charged in a hit-and-run that killed a teenage girl is scheduled to appear in court today.
Sixteen-year-old Jennifer Gatey died in the accident.
Jason Gourlay is charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident, along with an unrelated count of possession of a controlled substance.
Gourlay elected last year for a judge-only trial.
