Royal Wedding Snub

Meghan Markle‘s nephew Tyler Dooley did not receive an invite for the royal nuptials. In response, he decided to appear on Good Morning Britain to air his grievances. (Her half-sister Samantha Grant and half-brother are also not invited, per various reports.)

Dooley, the son of Markle’s half-brother, appeared with his mother Tracey, who is divorced from Thomas Markle Jr. The pair claim Markle used to babysit Tyler, but that they harbor no ill-will despite the snub.

  • Presenter Richard Madeley asked Dooley, “When did you last see her?”
  • He admitted: “I talked to her probably about three years ago.”
  • Tracey admitted she hadn’t seen Meghan for about 20 years.
  • Tracey also weighed in on whether Markle’s father will walk her down the aisle. “I’ve heard that he’s going to be over there and I’m sure that he will be giving her away. The arrangements are being made,” she told the news outlet. Other reports dispute that, claiming her mother will walk her down the aisle.
  • According to the Sun, Thomas Markle Sr. will in fact be in attendance, but did not opine either way on who would give her away.
  • Meanwhile, the Daily Mail unearthed a home video circa January 1990 in which an 8-year-old Markle acts out a scenario in which she is the queen and her pals are servants and princesses. Her edicts include baking 900,000 cookies and making gowns.
  • “The show was called Your Royal Highness, and the star was Meg,” childhood bestie Nanaki Priddy told the Mail. “It’s very funny to see this now, and given what is going on with her life, it’s quite eye-opening. She was always the center of attention, always the ringleader-it was my birthday but she took the starring role!”
  • The royal wedding will take place May 19th. About 600 people have been invited.
