Students have been learning about the various aspects of running a business, and were required to come up with their own business plan, conduct market research among their peers, and price their items.

According to teacher Katrina Shantz, the event gave students insight into how much work goes into running a business. 

“Entrepreneurship is huge in learning how to set up a business,” she said. “It also brings in all the different aspects of learning, you have to deal with math with your money, you have to deal with communication, you have to find out what is going to sell, you have to talk to people, bring them in. It’s just real world learning.”
