KAMLOOPS — The Cooper Family Foundation is encouraging people to place their bid on the 2018 Wings Above Kamloops House before June 30.

Proceeds from the winning bid will go towards the construction of a much-needed expansion at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home.

The Wings Above Kamloops property package is worth $925,000, and the house comes fully furnished.

People are encouraged to bid what they are able to afford.

“It takes maybe about an hour of paperwork,” said Cooper Family Foundation President Nelly Dever. “Have your realtor, or go down to RE/MAX and use one of their realtors … You have to put in a $5,000 refundable deposit. If you’re not the winning bid, you do receive your deposit back.

“On July 21 we will have an on-site announcement at the house, and we’ll be turning the keys over to the homeowner, and announcing the funds that are going into the foundation, and then kicking off the hospice project.”
