KAMLOOPS — Today’s the day Kamloops residents can start to purchase tickets for their chance to win the annual Y Dream Home Lottery.
This year’s 3,000 square foot home is located in Westsyde at 2706 Beachmount Crescent and is valued at $653,300.
“It’s a beautiful home. It boasts some of the most incredible technology we’ve ever had,” says spokesperson Bryce Herman. “Google Home throughout the house. So, you go in and you just have a little conversation and the next thing you know you can adjust your temperature. You can do all those great things and, of course, you can do it from the convenience of your smartphone.”
He says that means you can be dimming lights, answering your door and turning on your porch light while talking to someone.
Along with the modern touches, he says the three-bedroom home includes wood features and a clean, modern, open-home concept design.
Herman says 13,000 tickets are available this year. Sixty per cent of those tickets will be single tickets, 40 per cent through value packs.
“And there’s a one in 26 chance to win. It was a one in 29 chance last year.”
