Body recovered from South Thompson identified as Thelma Vaughan

KAMLOOPS — A Facebook group has confirmed the identity of the body recovered Wednesday from the South Thompson River as that of missing 62 year old Kamloops resident Thelma Vaughan.

The identification was revealed by the Facebook group MISSING: THELMA VAUGHAN. The administrator of the page, RL Dakin, confirmed the news in a Facebook post Wednesday afternoon.

It reads: “Thelma’s daughter, Natasha Linteris has asked me to advise the group that Thelma was located today. Please take a few moments to hold Thelma and her loved ones in your hearts and in your thoughts.

Funeral arrangements will be announced when the family is ready to do so. For now, please feel free to share any words of remembrance or comfort. Thank You.”
