Severe thunderstorm warning lifted for Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Update: The severe thunderstorm warning issued for Kamloops earlier this afternoon has been lifted.

Environment Canada has replaced the warning with a severe thunderstorm watch which means conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and heavy rain.

Earlier: A serious weather system is headed Kamloops’ way.

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the South Thompson region. The warning replaces a thunderstorm watch issued earlier today.
