KAMLOOPS — Great music, great weather, and great skiing. What else could one ask for?

Tourism Sun Peaks President and CEO Arlene Schieven says the second annual Coors Light Snowbombing festival is in full swing and not to be missed by powder lovers.

“It’s going great. We started welcoming people yesterday and to top things off we had 11 centimetres of snow last night so great conditions for getting up on the mountain.”

She says the event features about 50 different musical acts and a wide range of musical genres.

“As an example on Saturday night we have R&B, we have hip hop, so definitely you can probably find someone who fits your personal preference. One of the key highlights of the festival is Grammy award-winning artist Odesza, and that will be on Sunday night.”

Schieven is expecting festival-goers from all their key markets including Calgary, Vancouver and Kamloops.

“I think we’ll see a similar audience in size to last year, so somewhere between 3,000 to 4,000 people.”

The event wraps up Monday.
