Mayor of Kamloops disappointed in suspension of Trans Mountain pipeline
KAMLOOPS — With Kinder Morgan’s announcement it is suspending all activity around the twinning of the Trans Mountain pipeline, the mayor of Kamloops is disappointed with a delay in the project.
Ken Christian says Kamloops would receive $750,000 from Kinder Morgan during construction if the project goes ahead. The city would also benefit with about $1 million in taxes every year.
