BARNESVILLE, Ga. — A homeless teenager says a decision regarding $184,000 in donations raised for him through a GoFundMe.com account has been made.

Fred Barley said on his Facebook page Monday that his attorney and a lawyer for the Georgia woman who started the page have agreed on establishing a trust that’ll cover Barley’s living expenses and tuition.

The outpouring of donations came after online reports that 19-year-old Barley had biked six hours to get to Gordon State College in Georgia and was found sleeping in a tent on campus.

GoFundMe spokesman Bobby Whithorne tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the money will be transferred to the trust once it’s fully established.
