Elderly man dies in crash near Cache Creek

CACHE CREEK, B.C. — RCMP have confirmed an elderly man has died after a crash near Cache Creek today.
Sgt. Mike Pears of RCMP Central Interior Traffic Services says the man was driving a car southbound on the Trans Canada Highway when he tried to make a left turn onto Highway 97C.
He drove into the path of a northbound pickup truck, and it slammed into his vehicle.
Pears says the man died before he could be taken to hospital.
