New record for Boogie participants

KAMLOOPS — It’s still early, but it appears a new record was set today for participants in the CFJC-TV Boogie the Bridge.

MC Tara Holmes told the crowd it was the biggest Boogie ever.

Indications are, without final numbers released yet, that about 2800 participants took place in today’s CFJC-TV Boogie, which would be about 100 more than the 2700 who participated in last year’s event. 

The weather held out too. There’s never been a Boogie where it rained on the parade, and the sun was out this morning as well.

Last night, some rain held up those marking out the route, but today’s weather was great for the event.
