KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops RCMP is doing what it can to lock out auto crime.

Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in July the RCMP and auxiliary officers will be visiting local neighbhourhoods around town raising awareness.

Shelkie says they hope to do so by filling out crime prevention notices and leaving them on the windshield of each vehicle.

All vehicles will be given a crime prevention notice, either thanking them for securing their vehicle properly, or advising them how they can deter theft.
