KAMLOOPS — Less than four years after it opened, American fast food chain Carl’s Jr. has packed up and shipped out of Kamloops.

The burger joint opened in early 2013 along the Trans Canada Highway in Valleyview.

According to a statement from CKE Restaurants, the chain’s operator, franchisee Jove Franchise Development Corporation has closed locations in Kamloops, Vernon and Penticton.

The franchisee’s fourth location, in Kelowna, will remain open.
