Canada beats United States to capture FIVB World League bronze medal
CURITIBA, Brazil — Canada won the FIVB World League bronze on Saturday with a four-set victory over the United States.
The Canadians dropped the first set before taking three straight (18-25, 25-20, 25-22, 25-21).
Captain John Gordon Perrin led the way with 13 points for Canada while Sharone Vernon-Evans and Graham Vigrass chipped in with 12 points apiece.
“I’m just really proud right now of everyone in the program, and happy for everyone in the past that’s helped the program,” said Perrin.
