Wildfire evacuee centre changed to TRU

KAMLOOOPS — The wildfire evacuee centre is now located at TRU.

Emergency Operation Centre Information Officer Debbie Sell says the centre was changed from McArthur Island Park to TRU due to a high demand of evacuees.

The  Emergency Social Service Reception Contre is now located in the Old Main Building.

It will open everyday at 10:30 a.m.

Sell says the move will free up space for workers to provide additional evacuee services at McArthur Island Park.
