After Umstead and Chigvintsev – who earned a 19/30 for Tuesday’s quickstep – were announced, the pair received a standing ovation from the audience.

“I want you to know that the looks on all of your couples who you’re competing with, they look as sad as you no doubt feel, to say goodbye to you tonight,” Bergeron told Umstead, who is the first-ever blind contestant that has competed on DWTS.

“It’s been fun,” Umstead said of the experience, and told Chigvintsev: “Thank you for everything. It’s been amazing.”

Comedian Nikki Glaser was eliminated Week 1.

Here’s how the dances played out:

Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke danced the Foxtrot to “Why Don’t You Do Right?” by Peggy Lee. “Juano Pablo, no probleeeemo,” Len said. They earned 26 out of 30.

Milo Manheim and Witney Carson danced the Tango to “Ashes” by Celine Dion. The judges went wild for this routine, and Carrie Ann and Bruno even got so animated about how much they loved the number that between the two of them, Len had to literally walk away from the table. They scored a 26 out of 30.

Danelle Umstead and Artem Chigvintsevdid danced the Quickstep to “Luck Be a Lady” to a live performance by Donny Osmond. “You have a gift that the others don’t have: you touch our heart every time,” Carrie Ann gushed. Len didn’t love the slow-going intro, but he was a big fan of how much Artem used the floor and the space. Bruno didn’t love or hate the dance itself, but he’s a big fan of Danelle. They scored a 19.

Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten danced the Salsa to “Booty” by Jennifer Lopez featuring Iggy Azalea. Len made a slightly off-color comment about “working your assets.” He didn’t love the lifts – though Bruno did – and Carrie Ann warned Alexis to keep her core strong or her “bendy” abilities wouldn’t be controlled enough to help her in the long run. They scored 24.

John Schneider and Emma Slater danced the Jive to “King Creole” by Elvis Presley. Carrie Ann criticized John’s “baby arms” – his tendency to keep his arms tucked in and bent instead of reaching them out to their full extent. Len and Bruno thought Emma lost a bit of the “Jive” element, but mostly, they were just impressed that John managed to dance two nights back to back. They scored 20.

DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold danced the Quickstep to “Ladies Man” to a live performance by Boyz II Men. “You had a few moments of out of sync-ness,” Carrie Ann noticed. Len called out his hooked shoulder, but Lindsay cut in to say that was her fault because she is so much shorter than him. They scored a 23.

Joe “Grocery Store Joe” Amabile and Jenna Johnson danced Jazz to “The Gambler” by Kenny Rogers. “It was a routine,” Len started out before going off on a tangent about Jenna’s choreography. Ultimately, he had nothing to say to Joe but “good job.” Carrie Ann told him he looked proud of what he’d done. They scored 18.

Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe danced the Jive to “Heat Wave” by Martha Reeves & The Vandellas. The judges loved her extra energy, though Carrie Ann mentioned that she needed to control it enough to be one time. Len disagreed, saying she was right on time. They scored 24.

Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess danced the Quickstep to “That Old Black Magic” by Sammy Davis Jr. Carrie Ann might have been a fan of the energy in the first few nights, but now she wants more. “I would love to ask you to tone it down just an notch. You could be a very good dancer if we can just channel it,” she said. Bruno agreed, saying all his extra energy only managed to pull Sharna around the stage instead of leading her. They scored a 19.

Nancy McKeon and Val Chmerkovskiy danced the Paso Dobl to “Storm from K” by Cirque du Soleil. Bruno compared the dance to Game of Thrones, Pirates of the Caribbean and Vikings. Len thought the dance lacked some finesse, but Carrie Ann praised Nancy for keeping up with the pros who were dancing around her. They scored a 20.

Tinashe and Brandon Armstrong danced the Cha Cha to “Circus” by Britney Spears. Bruno went nuts over the isolation and musicality both in the choreography. “You generate this heat, and you generate energy… and it brings everybody in!” Carrie Ann gushed, and Len called it a knock-out performance. They scored 27.

Mary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber danced the Samba to “Copacabana (At the Copa)” by Barry Manilow. Carrie Ann praised Mary Lou for replacing technique with some plain old fun. Len called this routine a proper Samba, and said he wished everyone would just come out and do what Mary Lou and Sasha do every week. They scored 24.
