Cenotaph clocks won’t keep time by Remembrance Day
KAMLOOPS — The restoration of the Kamloops Cenotaph is almost complete, but the clocks will not be in place in time to mark the 11th hour of November 11.
The Memorial Hill Cenotaph on Battle Street bears the names of the hundreds who lost their lives in battle. Renovations to the monument began this summer, after years of planning.
The park grounds have been improved, the door to the cenotaph has been refurbished, and years of pollution have been cleaned off the stone. But the most significant part of the renovation is yet to be completed.
