Rock slide closes Trans Canada east of Golden

GOLDEN — Update: The rock slide 5 kilometres east of Golden is now clear.

Earlier: The Trans Canada Highway has been closed just east of Golden after a rock slide.

There is no detour around the site, and there’s no immediate estimate of when the highway will reopen.

Drive B.C. says the slide is 5 kilometers east of Golden.

Traffic is shut down in both directions.
