Overnight storm causes creek flooding throughout Kamloops area
KAMLOOPS — The overnight rain storm that hit the BC Interior has caused creeks around the Kamloops area to overspill their banks.
Noble Creek in Westsyde is flowing into private properties, though it’s not yet known if or how it is impacting homes and structures.
City of Kamloops Utility Services Manager Greg Wightman says city crews are on scene, as are crews from Kinder Morgan, whose TransMountain pipeline crosses through the Noble Creek area.
Just west of the city, Cherry Creek has overspilled its banks.
