Body recovered from Fraser River in August identified as missing fisherman

LYTTON, B.C. — A body recovered from the Fraser River south of Yale in August has been identified as a man from the Boston Bar area who went missing in June.
According to police, 59-year-old Duane Aleck had gone fishing June 18 near Lytton and failed to return home.
Lytton RCMP and the BC Coroners Service have confirmed the identity of the body found on August 12 as Aleck.
His death is not considered suspicious.
