MAROON 5’S ‘GIRLS LIKE YOU’ HITS ONE BILLION YOUTUBE VIEWS: Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You” is No. 1 for a third week on the Billboard Hot 100, and its star-studded video has just reached a new milestone on YouTube. “Girls Like You,” featuring everyone from Tiffany Haddish, Gal Gadot and Ellen DeGeneres to Camila Cabello, Sarah Silverman and Jennifer Lopez, has just hit one billion views on YouTube. It reached a billion after 130 days, making it one of the top-10 fastest videos to hit that milestone. The video that holds the record for the fastest sprint to a billion views is Adele’s “Hello” – that took just 88 days. In addition, “Girls Like You” is now one of only two Maroon 5 videos to have racked up a billion views or more. The other one is “Sugar,” with more than 2.7 billion views. “Girls Like You” is also the first billion-view video for rapper Cardi B, who’s featured on the song and in the clip.
ENRIQUE IGLESIAS SAYS HE ANNA KOURNIKOVA HAVE ‘MORE SEX THAN EVER’ AFTER TWIN’S ARRIVAL: Most new parents complain that having a baby has put a serious crimp in their sex life – mostly because they’re exhausted all the time. But apparently, Enrique Iglesias and his partner Anna Kournikova aren’t like most parents. Enrique and Anna welcomed twins Nicholas and Lucy in December of 2017, and now, speaking to the British paper The Sun, the singer reveals, “It’s probably more sex now than ever. The sex has not diminished.” Enrique says he’s having such a great time being a father that he’s considering retiring. “There are days when I’d be lying if I said that stopping didn’t cross my mind,” he reveals. “That probably could become a reality in the near future. Maybe I don’t see myself doing anything other than a few albums and that’s it. Then, never doing anything again other than being a dad.” For now, though, Enrique’s still got his day job. Starting next week, he’ll be touring the U.K., Ireland and Europe.
BARBRA STREISAND DEBUTS VIDEO FOR NEW SONG ‘DON’T LIE TO ME’: Barbra Streisand recently released her new song “Don’t Lie to Me” and now she has dropped a music video for the tune. The legendary entertainer is getting political with both the song and the video, which shows images of protests and President Trump’s contradictions. “I just can’t stand what’s going on,” Barbra previously told the Associated Press about how Trump inspired the song. “His assault on our democracy, our institutions, our founders – I think we’re in a fight. … We’re in a war for the soul of America.” “Don’t Lie to Me” is featured on Barbra’s upcoming album Walls.
GWEN STEFANI, IMAGINE DRAGONS, PINK, NICKELBACK READ MEAN TWEETS ON ‘KIMMEL’: In honor of the 2018 American Music Awards Tuesday night, Jimmy Kimmel Live! rolled out the fifth edition of “Mean Tweets: Music Edition.” This time around, Kimmel convinced Luke Bryan, The Chainsmokers, Luke Combs, Elvis Costello, Miley Cyrus, Jason Derulo, G-Eazy, Halsey, Imagine Dragons, Korn, Dua Lipa, Jason Mraz, Nickelback, Pink, ScHoolboy Q, Gwen Stefani, The Strokes and Tyga to read – and, in some cases, to respond – to the rudest things written about them on social media. Some stars, like Pink and ScHoolboyQ, were able to laugh it off. Others, like Cyrus and Derulo, appeared to be more offended by the harsh things anonymous haters wrote about them online. Imagine Dragons laughed off being compared to Hitler and Elvis Costello had no visible reaction, and Miley Cyrus flipped her tweeter the bird. The best one, though, was Korn grimacing at being compared to Nickelback, followed by Nickelback reading their own mean tweet.
