Selena Enters Mental Health Facility & Drops New Video

Selena Gomez has reportedly entered a mental health facility after being hospitalized twice in two weeks – the second time for what the outlet describes as an “emotional breakdown.”

According to TMZ, the first hospital visit took place during the last week of September. Selena was “despondent and emotional over an alarmingly low white blood cell count in the wake of her kidney transplant,” so a family member took her to the hospital in Los Angeles.

The singer was released from hospital after several days, but was “re-admitted late last week because her low blood cell count persisted, and it threw Selena into a downward emotional spiral.”

TMZ said Selena wanted to leave the hospital, and experienced an “emotional breakdown” when she was told she wasn’t allowed to. She’s now said to be at a psychiatric facility on the East Coast, and is receiving DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), a treatment used for various mental health conditions.

After being teased on the American Music Awards, the full video for “Taki Taki” has dropped, and has the four artists involved dancing while surrounded by lava flows.

Selena Gomez, Cardi B, DJ Snake and Ozuna are all shown dancing in the crater of a volcano in the clip, and as each vocalist takes their turn, they’re also seen in a different setting.

Ozuna is shown lying down in a square pit, surrounded by writhing, half-naked girls; Cardi is onstage performing in a dark, neon-lit club, backed up by a number of dancers.

Selena does her thing in a jungle setting, while DJ Snake mostly looks mysterious and sits on top of a Range Rover, with a masked demonic figure with glowing eyes, leaping around as well.

Since the song’s release, “Taki Taki” has earned over 20 million YouTube views and 60 million streams across all platforms. The song is currently the most-streamed on Spotify and recently peaked at No. 2 on iTunes.
