RCMP confirm death of Vernon woman in collision at Peterson Creek Bridge

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP have confirmed the death of a Vernon woman following Friday’s collision on the Trans Canada Highway near Peterson Creek Bridge. 

According to police, a commercial vehicle was travelling westbound when an adult woman wandered onto the road. 

The vehicle did not have time to stop and struck the woman, who died at the scene. 

The highway was closed for several hours as traffic analysts conducted an investigation.
