KAMLOOPS — CFJC partner station Global BC has declared Liberal Peter Milobar elected in Kamloops-North Thompson.
With 17 polls reporting, Milobar already had a sizeable lead over NDP candidate Barb Nederpel.
Green Party candidate Dan Hines trailed in third place.
Milobar was elected three times as Kamloops mayor before deciding to run in this year’s provincial election.
He will take over from Liberal Terry Lake, who has retired from provincial politics.
