Royal Baby Bonanza!

It’s a royal baby bonanza! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are basking in the glow of their upcoming arrival, and Pippa Middleton and James Matthewswelcomed theirs Tuesday.

PRINCE HARRY TALKS BABY

In front of a crowd in Sydney, the 34-year-old father to be opened up for the first time about the baby to come.

He said: “It’s great to be back in Australia, and especially even more so, this is my wife’s first trip here, so I’m very excited to show her this incredible country of yours,” adding, “We also, genuinely, couldn’t think of a better place to announce, uh, the upcoming baby, be it a boy or girl, so thank you very much.”

Meghan, meanwhile, was photographed looking delighted and relaxed in a white sleeveless dress by Karen Gee during her trip to the Admiralty House with Australia’s Governor General Peter Cosgrove and his wife, Lady Lynne Cosgrove.

IT’S A BOY!

Pippa and James, meanwhile, welcomed a baby boy on Monday at 1:58 p.m., local time, weighing 8 lbs. 9 oz. Speaking on behalf of Pippa’s sister Kate Middleton and brother in law Prince William, Kensington Palace said in a statement: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are thrilled for Pippa and James.”

This makes Kate, who welcomed her third child Prince Louis in April, an aunt for the first time.

 

FAST FACTS:

  • Harry and Meghan’s baby will be the seventh in line to the throne, behind Harry.
  • The pair married in May and are traveling on a 16-day visit to Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand. Meghan is reportedly due around May 2nd, her niece Princess Charlotte‘s birthday.
