Special weather statement issued on the Coquihalla
KAMLOOPS — Environment Canada is warning motorists to be prepared as there is a possibility snow could fall on the Coquihalla Highway later today.
Hope to Merritt, Merritt to Kamloops, and Merritt to Kelowna (Okanagan Connector) are the areas affected.
A special weather statement indicates the snow level will drop to 1000m this evening (Monday, May 15th) as a cold low pressure system moves over the area.
Forecaster Alyssa Charbonneau says between two and 10 centimetres is expected, and she says some of that may stick to the road surface.
