CALGARY — A court appearance for a man charged in the deaths of a Calgary woman and her five-year-old daughter has been put over for two weeks.
Edward Downey, who faces two counts of first-degree murder, did not appear in court Wednesday.
His lawyer, Gavin Wolch, says the defence has received disclosure of evidence but needs more time to review it.
The case is adjourned until Sept. 7.
