Imagine Dragons New Music: Listen Here

Imagine Dragons have released a brand new single titled “Natural.” The standalone track is not taken from any previous album and has been chosen as the anthem for ESPN’s coverage of the upcoming American college football season.

Singer Dan Reynolds said about the song, “Living in a dog-eat-dog world can bring out the worst in you, and sometimes, the best. It would be a lie to tell you I haven’t become somewhat skeptical about some things in the last decade of my life. However, I believe that when you truly learn to love yourself, the judging eyes and hateful words become meaningless.”

He added, “’Natural’ is about finding yourself and being willing and able to stand up to whatever adversity comes your way.” The band will perform the track on Thursday night’s (July 19th) edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live! on ABC.

Reynolds told us a while back that Imagine Dragons has a simple criteria for the songs the band writes: “If a song cannot stand alone, just simply sung on the guitar or on the piano, and it has to be dressed up with production to make it a good song, than it’s really not a good song. What we’ve done is really started in that setting every single time. And then when the song can stand alone, you know, and just be sung around a campfire basically and be a good song, then you can dress it up.”
