Vote on tentative CUPW, Canada Post deal expected in October
KAMLOOPS — When Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) reached a tentative deal on Tuesday, Aug 30, it came as a relief to Kamloops Local 758, but there’s still the matter of a vote to ratify the agreement.
The deal incorporates much of what the union was asking for, including raises for urban and rural carriers and a continuation of the workers’ pension plan.
Union members are expected to vote on the deal in October.
