Small gathering to protest disability benefits

Sep 1, 2016 | 10:02 AM

KAMLOOPS — Rallies were held in various communities across the province today to send a message to the Liberal government about the inadequacy of disability benefits.

A rally was held in Kamloops this afternoon, September 1, in front of the Social Development Building on Seymour Street.

About a dozen or so activists showed up.

They want the BC Government to raise disability rates to reflect the cost of living and bring back reduced bus pass fares for people living with disabilities.
