River Forecast Centre keeping a close eye on water levels
KAMLOOPS — The BC River Forecast Centre says it’s time to brace for high flows on some of the larger rivers around Kamloops.
New numbers released today show much of the province with above normal snowpack, including 114 per cent in the North Thompson basin and 122 per cent in the South Thompson.
Section Head Dave Campbell says that is primarily high elevation snowpack, and that typically feeds larger rivers.
